Unable to write atxoscio.ini file
I started experimenting with the eCommerce import/export utility today.

After successfully configuring the Remote FTP settings, uploading the scripts, and testing the scripts, I can't save and exit the Import/Export Setup screen.

I get the following error:
Unable to write to C:\Program Files\Atrex\atxoscio.ini

Naturally, this is on a Vista machine.  Anybody know how to overcome this?

Thanks.

Re: Unable to write atxoscio.ini file
Further input would be greatly appreciated.
I'm on the right track, but there are other projects to tackle right now.

#1  c:\program files is not ordinarily writeable in Vista.

#2  I can create the atxoscio.ini file by running notepad as Administrator, but that doesn't really help since the Import/Export setup utility needs write access to update the ini file.

#3 Perhaps the solution is to uninstall Vista.  haha.  Or at least do all of this stuff from a good old XP machine.

David,

#1  c:\program files is not ordinarily writeable in Vista.

When did you download the utility?  We've recently rebuilt it with a Vista manifest which should allow it to write to that file in that directory.

of this stuff from a good old XP machine.

I've seen a lot of people do this because of issues with Vista and UAC frustration, especially on the developer side where tools access a lot of information in the program executable directory.
