morning

i just set uop our email settings in order to test integrating efax funtions with Atrex.

When I send a PO via the email function, i get the following error.

An error has occured
Server Response: Access violation at address 004418ef in module "atrex32.exe"  write address 00000000

Any suggestions?  I tested the connection in the config screen and it said connection and settings are ok.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

I'm assuming that you are trying to set up the connection via a SMTP server.

While I don't have a specific answer for you, there are a couple of things that you can try.  The first is to try sending via your default MAPI email client and then let that email client do the actual send to your eFax address.  This gives you the benefit of letting your email client handle any authentication or port issues, but requires that you do a separate send/receive for the actual send to occur.

We also switched email components with version 12 to accomodate authentication as well as handling port numbers other than the standard port 25 for SMTP, so that might also be the path forward if it turns out to be one of those issues.

Per the phone message that I left, give us a call and we'll see if we can isolate the issue a bit further and/or give you a path forward to getting it resolved.
