Now while receiving, the prices are set back to the old prices.

In the Options-Customisation/setup-Default Values / Options Tab there is a setting 'Price adjustment while recieving. This one is NOT set.
What's (am I doing) wrong?

You are not doing anything wrong as this is working as designed.  The PO
items were added at a specfic cost, and that is the cost that they default
to when they are received.  Since any given item may be purchased from
different suppliers at different costs, the cost during receiving is
defaulted to the cost that was entered with the item when the PO was created
to reflect the expected cost from that vendor.

But what does the setting 'Price Adjustment While Receiving' do.
I thought it was for preventing this behaviour.

What happened is the following.
I made several PO before our holidays to be delivered after our holidays.
In the mean time the vendors price list changes. So I updated my inventory items. You are right that I bought the items at the cost they had before. But I wanted my items to maintain the 'List price' from my vendor and not changing into the old price. Is there a way to achieve this.
