Nothing major....just a *stupid* question
This has absolutely nothing to do with Atrex :)

When exporting inventory and opening that file in Excel do you guys know of a way to have excel recognize longer numbers, like UPS codes?  Each time I try to remember to change the individual columns but usually forget so I end up with weird stuff in the model field, like 6.56E+11 or funky stuff like that.

Not all of the fields in that column contain numbers that are that long, as some of them are alphanumeric as well.  Just a question.......

BTW....thanks for the push on the db routine.  Seems to work just fine!  How did you do in the run?

I unfortunately don't know enough about Excel to answer this one.  I do know that the exports have an option to auto-format the fields.  If that option is checked, it will set the cell type to being a number if the value type in the report is a number.

No troubles.

How did you do in the run?

Cranked out 18.6 miles in 2:34.  Was hoping for a flat 2:30, but it just wasn't an "on" day.

Same here...congrats on the timing though --- I would have died of massive stroke or something ;-)
Re: Nothing major....just a *stupid* question

I don't know if you can set it to happen automatically, but when you import into Excel, one of the steps allows you to set the format for a particular column.

I set the UPC column to TEXT and it parses properly.

You might want to inquire about this in a Excel oriented newsgroup as I don't use Excel enough to know if there is a way to change this.
