Images Problem
Uh....not sure just how to describe this one guys.

Updated the DB server and the Atrex with the new engines.  Ran an OSC export and only exported 17 of about 1,600 images.

Looking through inventory all of the images are associated with the related items.  Performed an inventory export and the file is showing HAS IMAGE = FALSE.

So....tried to re-import data with the HAS IMAGE filed set to TRUE and of course, we cannot do that :)

So....then tried to export the images figuring I could re-import them to associate them.....nada....on 17 images exported.

Someone got a good thought on this little snafu?

Re: Images Problem
Todd,

Ran an OSC export and only exported 17 of about 1,600 images.

On the setup window of the OSC utility, there is a button that allows you to reset the image extract.  We only extract images for items that have been modified to reduce the amount of time that it takes to process the export. After clicking that button, it will force all images to be pushed up.

So....tried to re-import data with the HAS IMAGE filed set to TRUE and of course, we cannot do that :)

No you can't import the has image field since it's maintained by Atrex, but you can run the "Options - Batch Processing".  One of the validation options is to verify the HasImage flag.  That combined with the reset images will force all of the images are resent up to the site.

Re: Images Problem
Nope...tried that one as well....multiple times in fact.

Was able to get around it by creating a backup, then restoring a prior backup, extracting inventory image.  Then restoring the first backup and doing an image import.

And I guess that is why we were taught the old rule as kids: backup, backup and backup again :)

Do you still have the backup from prior to the batch processing?   I can't reproduce this here with my data as it gets reset as expected and resends everything up.

And that's a good rule.  We have way too many users to don't make backups at all.
