Image Importing
Terry,

When importing images Atrex does not like .gif images and prefers the good ole .jpg images.  However when doing an import if you are using a data file, such as we do, that contains a .gif file Atrex notifies you that it does not like it....in not so many nice words.  But then it just hangs and the only way to shut things down is to forcibly close the program.

Would it be possible, or even feasible, to somehow have Atrex just error out at this point and cancel the import instead of just hanging there?

Re: Image Importing
Todd,

First of all, sorry for the delay in responding.  I thought that I had responded to this but apparently I had not.

Technically, there is already code around the save to the database for the image so that should be covered.   And our experience is that the gif image processing unit will simply ignore a image that is in a format or flavor that it doesn't understand.

If you could, send us a image or two that it doesn't like and we'll see if we can either get it to import or at a minimum handle it more gracefully.
