re: Container Issue

Hi guys, i noticed that when selecting a container stock item i am able to sell more than the items in stock.

Eg. i have Jeans (size 28 x 2 ) (30x 3) (32x6) thus making the container code eg. jeans pack c

the largest count packs in store would be 2 from above..

but when i invoice i am able to oversell... how can i solve this issue.

thanks

Two options: serialise the contents of your containers or use assemblies instead of containers.  From your example, it sounds like the assembly option better fits your business.

Re: Container Issue

hi,

but that means i got to build assemblies... what if i later dont want to use assembly. can i still change back to container.

Also when invoicing how can i change the price of the container

eg. when sale price is automatically selected.. (this comes from the calculated sum of the items( thus equal total container price (eg 10 items = $500) is ther a way of changing it to $480 without going to physically change each items prices or discount feature for the container)..

Hope i came across in a way that you understand..

thanks in advance.

Yes, you can switch between being an assembly and container and back again.  This is not something that I understand why you would want to do as you are either modifying the raw items at time of sale or you are not.

Set the price to be based on the sum of the container item costs and set a lower mark-up or margin than you do for the individual stock codes.
