Export from Excel for Stock Code Import

Trying to imprt 18,000+ Stock Codes that I get in an Excel spreadsheet.  When I export to Tab Delineated I get extra " on various fields.  Don't have them in the spreadsheet, but the export has them.

The only instance I can see that is consistant is if the feild has a " in it somewhere.

HOWEVER

I get them in the text file for unknown reasons too, straight text no punctuation.

hmmmmm anyone have a clue?

That doesn't sound like a Tab Delimited file, but rather a comma delimited file format.  Tab delimited shouldn't add the wrapping " characters during the save.

Yup, we have the same issue.

In your file that you are saving to text Excel adds the " to anything that has got a comma in it.  What we have found is that once we save the file we open it in Notepad and do a Search and Replace.  Then we just replace all of the quote characters with a blank.

Then it will import the right way.
