Export/Import options
Hello,

I used to work for Fitness Advantage in Winnipeg where we used Atrex for years. I now work for a new company who is finally automating our point-of-sale and inventory control system. I've lobbied hard for Atrex, and won out over other systems, but I have a few hurdles.

First is the purchase uses Sage Business Vision to manage our SKUs and stock codes. I need to export his data and put it into Atrex. The only file format they both have is ASCII delimited text. I've tried a straight export/import, but the two don't seem to play well together.

Has anyone else had experience with these two systems working together, or is there a work around to make the data more palatable to Atrex.

Thanks,

Graham Green

Graham,
I need to export his data and put it into Atrex. The only file format they both have is ASCII delimited text. I've tried a straight export/import, but the two don't seem to play well together.
If Sage has the option to export to Excel, select this option then open the file in Excel and copy everything into Notepad.  Now import into Atrex as tab delimited text.

If this does not work, zip the various export formats from Sage and email that to me using the email address below.  I will take a look at the formats and let you know what the trick may be to import into Atrex.
